If it fits, I… ride!

The clock is ticking down. Tick tock. I have spent the last few days packing stuff, squashing stuff, and figuring out how to make things fit. The long work is over, except for a few things that are still in use, and cannot be packed.

Believe it or not, this is eleven days of clothes. I packed them in dry bags, but the piece of luggage is also water resistant. The hardest part of packing it was keeping the cat out of the luggage. (Despite her best efforts and own illusions, she is not suitable for motorcycle travel.)

Out on the bike, the tool kit fits in the left saddlebag. I was also able to get my rain pants into that side. (Sadly, it looks like I’ll need them..)

On the left side, the saddle bag is much smaller due to the exhausts running underneath it. The security bag fits perfectly, with a bit of space to stuff something small.

The luggage and dry bags are locked down by ROK Straps, which seem to have done the trick, add to that the tank bag and the Airhawk seat pad. I was a little nervous on the start of the shakedown run. The Scout Sixty performed amazingly, the engine didn’t over rev, it was solid in turns, anyone calling this a starter bike needs to reevaluate what they think a starter bike is.
